FT is currently has a vacancy for an Accounts Assistant reporting to the Financial Controller in our Cork office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bank, Credit Card & Petty Cash Reconciliations
  • Assist with Monthly Management Accounts preparation along with month end and quarterly reporting.
  • Accounts Payable (matching Purchase Invoices with Purchase Orders prior to processing and making payments, reconciling supplier statements on a monthly basis.
  • Manage Staff Expense Claims
  • Assisting with Sales Invoicing
  • Liaise with Project Managers to ensure accurate monitoring and control of budgets for the financial management of projects.
  • Ad hoc duties to be performed as and when required.

 

Skills / Qualifications

  • Qualified Accounting Technician/part-qualified Accountant desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of SAGE 200 is necessary.
  • Knowledge of Union Square Project Accounting or similar Project Accounting system would be an advantage but not necessary.
  • The candidate should be a high-energy individual with excellent organisation skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience in using Microsoft Excel
  • Key attributes also necessary include efficient work methods, working both as part of a team and on own initiative and good interpersonal skills.

Design Site Representative, Structures Inspector

FT is looking to recruit a Structures Inspector for a highway scheme in Sligo, involving 15kms of dual carriageway, link roads, 12 bridges, culverts, drainage, earthworks and environmental works. The project is under construction and will run for approximately the next 2years. This opportunity offers the chance to have an important role on a major highways project in the North West of Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out daily inspections and keeping of daily site diaries
  • Reviewing and approving materials submissions from the Contractor
  • Reviewing of the Contractor’s method statements
  • Reviewing and approving inspection and test plans
  • Raising non-compliance reports
  • Supervision of the construction works on site
  • Witnessing of key stages of the construction works
  • Advising the designer of any design defects noted
  • Ensure construction is carried out in accordance with the Works Requirements and Contract
  • Liaise with the design team on any design related matters

 

Skills / Qualifications

  • Qualification in engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 experience post graduate experience
  • Experience working as a Design Site Representative on bridge projects
  • Excellent communication, management and organisational skills required
  • Experience working and co-ordinating with technical specialists and engineers
  • Experience working in a Consulting Engineering or similar company would be a plus
  • Key requirements include efficient work methods, functioning both as part of team and on own initiative
  • Experience organizing and delivering complex tasks involving multiple parties within a short timeframe

Fehily Timoney & Company is a multi-disciplined Environmental, Planning, Engineering and Scientific Consultancy with offices in Cork, Dublin and Carlow providing planning and development advice to a wide range of clients in the urban development, energy, housing and waste sectors. We are now seeking to employ a Project Town Planner to join the expanding planning team in our Cork office, candidates must have a minimum of 2 years post qualification relevant experience.

The post will involve working on a wide range of instructions including planning applications, masterplans, appeals, planning appraisals, and Environmental Impact Assessment Reports.

Applicants must hold a recognised (IPI or RTPI) planning qualification. Good communication and report writing skills and a sound knowledge of planning policy and practice in Ireland are essential.

Key requirements are:

  • Experience of providing advice on planning matters;
  • Excellent working knowledge of planning, development and environmental issues;
  • Ability to prepare reports and formulate recommendations;
  • Capability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, clients and other professionals as part of design teams, in multi-disciplinary services.

 

Duties will include: Assisting in the co-ordination and delivery of projects, including preparation and submission of planning applications, preparation of planning appeals, planning appraisals, and planning policy reviews; analysis and submissions related to Development Plan / Local Area Plan preparation.
