FT is currently has a vacancy for an Accounts Assistant/Trainee Accountant (6 month Maternity leave cover) reporting to the Financial Controller in our Cork Office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bank, Credit Card & Petty Cash Reconciliations
  • Assist with Monthly Management Accounts preparation along with month end and quarterly reporting.
  • Accounts Payable (matching Purchase Invoices with Purchase Orders prior to processing and making payments, reconciling supplier statements on a monthly basis.
  • Manage Staff Expense Claims
  • Assisting with Sales Invoicing
  • Liaise with Project Managers to ensure accurate monitoring and control of budgets for the financial management of projects.
  • Ad hoc duties to be performed as and when required.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Qualified Accounting Technician/part-qualified Accountant desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of SAGE 200 is necessary.
  • Knowledge of Union Square Project Accounting or similar Project Accounting system would be an advantage but not necessary.
  • The candidate should be a high-energy individual with excellent organisation skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Key attributes also necessary include efficient work methods, working both as part of a team and on own initiative and good interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate will be joining a growing team within an established company and will have the opportunity to acquire a vast range of skills and experience with support from mentors across several disciplines.

 

Skills/Qualifications & Key Responsibilities

  • Degree qualified Civil Engineer with 5-10 years’ post-graduate experience.
  • Chartered Engineer.
  • Experienced across a broad range of civil engineering projects such as design of site development works, earthworks, underground drainage and utility works, landfill design and waste management facilities.
  • Experienced in managing large scale projects, including liaison with clients and contractors.
  • Checking and Approval of project documentation, designs, drawings and calculations.
  • Preparation of tender documents, tender assessments and contract administration.
  • Continually use own initiative and knowledge to support the team in resolving complex problem.
  • Manage a project design team and controlling individual team members’ responsibilities.
  • Continuous and accurate management of project finances.
  • Candidate should be a high-energy professional with excellent communication, organisation, analytical and report writing skills.
  • The ability to manage several priorities at once will be required as will a high level of commitment to success.
  • Full clean Drivers Licence.

The role will support Principal & Senior Engineers in the Engineering, Geotechnics and Waste teams. Candidates will be required to have a well-rounded knowledge of environmental and civil engineering.

Skills/Qualifications & Key Responsibilities

  • Degree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering.
  • 3-5 years post-graduate experience.
  • Acting as a member of the design team, helping to ensure projects are delivered to the timescales, quality and costs agreed with the client.
  • Preparation of technical reports and tender documents including bills of quantities and specifications.
  • Planning and managing CAD documentation of design work, working closely with Engineering Technicians.
  • In conjunction with senior staff, attend onsite meetings with the client and other professionals.
  • Complete engineering designs.
  • Ensure compliance with our Quality Assurance and Management Systems.
  • Ensure compliance with the relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Coordinating his/her work with other members of the project team.
  • Must be prepared to travel for work.
  • Candidate should be a high-energy professional with relevant experience.
  • A working knowledge of Public Works Contracts will benefit your application.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and analytical skills required.

Skills/Qualifications & Key Responsibilities

  • Detailed knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Hold a recognised cert or diploma or equivalent professional qualification in Engineering.
  • After attaining qualification, have 2 years’ relevant experience in using AutoCAD.
  • Experience in the production of planning drawings and large scale infrastructural and civil project drawings (in the areas of highways, ducting and drainage).
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail required.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.

  • Preparation and presentation of drawings and design outputs, using information provided by the Engineering/Design team.
  • Continually using own initiative and knowledge to support and grow the CAD team and use of technical programs.
  • Development of highly detailed Revit Models, and generation of construction drawings from Revit would be an advantage.
  • Work independently without needing significant help form others, and provide guidance and support to other members of the CAD team.
  • Anticipates and understands all drafting aspects and requirements for large scale engineering projects.
  • Assume ownership of work, and work with project managers to ensure timely delivery within budgetary constraints.
  • Detailed knowledge of RC detailing/scheduling and AutoCAD is essential.
  • Knowledge of Revit, CADS RC and Civil 3D is an advantage, but not essential.
  • Efficient work methods, working both as part of team and on own initiative.
  • The ability to manage several priorities at once will be required as well as a high level of commitment to success.
  • The ability to adopt and work to new procedures and systems quickly.
  • Hold a recognised cert. or diploma or equivalent professional qualification in Engineering.

FT is looking to recruit a Senior Environmental Scientist to join our team in our Dublin Office offering exposure to a broad range of areas within the waste management and environmental sectors, including, but not limited to, planning and EIA, waste management, infrastructure development, waste licensing and permits, Industrial Emissions licensing, and environmental due diligence.

 

The successful candidate will join the waste management and environmental team within an established company and will have the opportunity to acquire a broad range of skills and experiences with support from mentors across several disciplines.

 

Skills / Qualifications & Key Responsibilities

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant environmental discipline.
  • The candidate must have a minimum of 8 to 10 years’ post-graduate experience.
  • Post-graduate qualifications in environmental science/engineering disciplines would be an advantage.
  • Experience gained in an environmental engineering consultancy practice would be an advantage.
  • Experience of public and stakeholder consultation.
  • Chartered status in relevant discipline.
  • Familiarity with planning, environmental and waste management legislation.
  • Proven track record in Project management and contribution to the preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports, planning and licence/permit applications for a wide range of projects, including infrastructural, energy and waste management projects.
  • Manage the implementation of regulatory approvals
  • Work within a project team reporting to the Project Director, as well as leading individual projects as Project Manager.
  • Actively participate in the delivery of business development initiatives
  • Experience as Expert Witness at oral hearing/competent expert in elements of the preparation of EIAR would be an advantage.
  • Candidate should be a high-energy professional with excellent communication, organisation and analytical skills
