FT is looking to recruit a Design Engineer (Structures) to join our team in either our Cork or Dublin Office. The role will suit graduate/project level candidates with ideally a minimum of 2 years’ experience.

The successful candidate will join an established company and will have the opportunity to acquire a broad range of skills and experiences with support from mentors across several disciplines.

Skills/Qualifications & Key Responsibilities

  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • 2-5 years post-graduate experience.
  • Acting as a member of the design team, helping to ensure projects are delivered to the timescales, quality and costs agreed with the client.
  • Planning and managing CAD documentation of design work, working closely with Engineering Technicians.
  • In conjunction with senior staff, attend onsite meetings with the client and other professionals.
  • Complete engineering designs.
  • Familiarity with CADS RC.
  • Working knowledge of structural analysis software such as Tekla Tedds/Midas Civil.
  • Ensure compliance with our Quality Assurance and Management Systems.
  • Ensure compliance with the relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Coordinating his/her work with other members of the project team.
  • Must be prepared to travel for work.
  • Candidate should be a high-energy professional with relevant experience.
  • A working knowledge of Public Works Contracts will benefit your application.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and analytical skills required.
  • Key attributes also necessary include efficient work methods, working both as part of team and on own initiative.
  • Full Clean Drivers Licence.

FT is looking to recruit a Senior Environmental Scientist to join our team in our Dublin Office offering exposure to a broad range of areas within the waste management and environmental sectors, including, but not limited to, planning and EIAR, waste management, infrastructure development, waste licensing and permits, Industrial Emissions licensing, and environmental due diligence.

The successful candidate will join the waste management and environmental team within an established company and will have the opportunity to acquire a broad range of skills and experiences with support from mentors across several disciplines.

Skills / Qualifications & Key Responsibilities

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant environmental discipline.
  • The candidate must have a minimum of 8 to 10 years’ post-graduate experience.
  • Post-graduate qualifications in environmental science/engineering disciplines would be an advantage.
  • Chartered status in relevant discipline
  • Experience gained in an environmental engineering consultancy practice would be an advantage.
  • Experience of public and stakeholder consultation.
  • Familiarity with planning, environmental and waste management legislation.
  • Proven track record in Project management and contribution to the preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports, planning and licence/permit applications for a wide range of projects, including infrastructural, energy and waste management projects.
  • Manage the implementation of regulatory approvals
  • Work within a project team reporting to the Project Director, as well as leading individual projects as Project Manager.
  • Actively participate in the delivery of business development initiatives
  • Experience as Expert Witness at oral hearing/competent expert in elements of the preparation of EIAR would be an advantage.
  • Candidate should be a high-energy professional with excellent communication, organisation and analytical skills
  • The ability to manage several priorities at once will be required as will a high level of commitment to success.

Skills/Qualifications & Key Responsibilities

  • Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role. Experience in the construction industry is desirable but not essential.
