FT recognises the importance of Health and Safety and is committed to implementing the internationally recognised standard OHSAS 18001 for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems. Health and safety training is carried out on an ongoing basis for all staff to ensure that they are aware of and equipped to fulfil their obligations in relation to the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 and design staff the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013.
As every project is unique, FT ensures design process solutions are tailored by our experienced inhouse team to provide appropriate and sustainable delivery methods for each project. From the early stages of the project to project completion FT ensures the work of designers is coordinated to ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation.
FT provides Project Supervisor for the Design Process (PSDP) and Health and Safety Co-ordinator (HSC) services to oversee the coordination of the design works during design stages and during construction stages. FT promote a collaborative approach to health and safety on site where the Client, PSDP/HSC, Designers, Contractor and PSCS co-operate with each other and share information throughout the construction stage of the project through to completion. All work is undertaken in a competent and efficient manner taking account of the general principles of prevention to safeguard the safety, health and welfare of construction and maintenance workers and other third parties.
