Senior Project Engineer

Fehily Timoney and Company (FT) is one of Ireland’s largest Irish owned consultancies, with centres of excellence in Civil Infrastructure, Renewables and Waste & Resource Management. FT provides design and consultancy services for the development of infrastructure projects such as roads, bridgeworks, rail, solid waste management facilities, wind farms, solar farms, water services, airports, tunnels and gas pipelines.

FT is looking to recruit a Senior Project Engineer who will work as an integral member of the Renewable Energy team in the Cork office. The position will suit candidates with a minimum of five years experience. This position will require the management of a broad range of disciplines within the renewable energy, civil engineering and environmental sectors. FT have a growing portfolio of projects and can offer the successful candidate a clear path for career progression.

FT's Responsibilities

The Senior Project Engineer will, amongst other things, be responsible for:

  • Working within a project team, reporting to the Project Director, as well as leading individual projects as Project Manager
  • Acting as a member of the design team, helping to ensure projects are delivered to the timelines, quality and costs agreed with the client
  • Planning and managing CAD documentation of design work, working closely with Engineering Technicians
  • Attending onsite meetings with the client and other professionals
  • Ensuring compliance with our Quality Assurance and Management Systems
  • Ensuring compliance with the relevant health and safety legislation
  • Coordinating work with other members of the project team

Skills / Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering
  • Minimum of five years post-graduate experience
  • Experience of managing projects in the renewables sector
  • Chartered Engineer status
  • Experience of engaging with external stakeholder, clients, sub-contractors
  • Excellent communication, organisation and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent report writing and technical reviewing skills
  • Flexibility and a good team player
  • A full driving licence
