Fehily Timoney and Company were commissioned by Harmony Solar Kerry Limited to provide planning, environmental and engineering services for this project and manage the project through the planning application process. The project consisted of a large scale ground mounted Solar Farm and connection to the national gird via a loop in connection to overhead lines via a 110kV onsite substation.

FT Responsibilities

The FT ecology team as part of the larger FT multi-disciplined team scoped and managed all Ecology surveys for this site including the preparation of an EcIA and Nature Impact Statement. Ecology Services include.

  • Carrying out extensive ornithology surveys.
  • Habitat and Mammal Surveys
  • Invasive Species Surveys
  • Preparation of Biodiversity Management Plan
  • Preparation of Natura Impact Statement
  • Preparation of Ecological Impact Assessment.
