Brief Description
The Irish Prison Services (IPS) commissioned Fehily Timoney and Company (FT) to provide environmental consultancy services 13 No. prison facilities throughout Ireland.
FT Responsibilities
FT was appointed to provide consultancy services to the Building Services Division of the IPS including but not limited to the following key tasks:
- Quarterly trade effluent discharge sampling
- Technical advice and interpretation of wastewater quality analysis
- Technical assistance and advice for Wastewater Treatment Plant Operation and Wastewater Parameters (Trade Effluent and FOG Licenses)
- Developing the Environmental Management Systems (EMS) for all licenced sites
- Energy management, energy project feasibility reports and site-specific energy assessments including rolling out BREEAM standard for new build and major refurbishment projects
