Tanya Ruddy is Technical Director in the Circular Economy and Environment team. Tanya is a Chartered Scientist and holds a BA in Environmental Science and a Masters in Environmental Management. She is a Chartered Waste Manager (MCIWM).

Tanya has over 20 years post qualification experience in consultancy. She provides consultancy advice on environmental and waste management, statutory consent applications including planning applications and licensing), licence compliance, environmental monitoring, contaminated land, risk assessment, EIAR and materials management. She is experienced in project management of complex projects for both the public and private sector including the management and coordination of planning applications to An Bord Pleanála and local planning authorities, licence applications to the EPA and waste facility permit applications to local authorities. She has extensive experience of liaising with the client, the procurement and management of sub-contractors, interpretation of environmental monitoring results, management of databases, preparation of reports, budget and timeline control.
Her experience in the Circular Economy and Environment team includes an extensive range of projects include:
- Risk assessment of contaminated land site (confidential)
- Preparation of applications for development consent for two roads projects to An Coimisiún Pleanála
- Management of EPA licence compliance on a variety of sites
Recently completed projects include:
- National Highway N8 Dunkettle Interchange Upgrade Scheme (Public Sector)
Environmental design lead for the pre-construction and construction contract for the upgrade of the Dunkettle Interchange in Cork 2018-2025. - Continued Operation of Clonbullogue Ash Repository, 2020.
Tanya was responsible for addressing all planning and environmental considerations and impacts associated with the proposed development. Permission for the proposed development was granted in May 2021.

Planning Application Edenderry Power operated by Bord na Móna Energy Ltd in the Midlands, 2021.
Tanya was responsible for carrying out pre-planning consultations and preparing the planning application and planning support statement for each facility development. Tanya was responsible for addressing all planning consideration and environmental considerations and impacts associated with the proposed development. Permission was secured for each facility. Tanya was responsible for the coordination of the EIAR for the planning application for Edenderry Power Plant which was granted permission in May 2022. - Development of A SID Application, EIAR and NIS for Knockharley Landfill Expansion, 2019.
Project manager responsible for coordinating and completing the SID Application, EIAR and NIS for the proposed development. The Board granted permission for the proposed development in May 2021. This development is one of the largest waste related SID application in the history of the state at the time of writing.
