Overview

plus

John Sisk & Son Holdings Ltd (Sisk) have been awarded the contract for the Dunkettle Interchange Upgrade Scheme by Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII). This design and build contract will reconfigure the existing Dunkettle Interchange to remove a number of traffic lights and create slip roads to increase the flow of traffic. The project includes a series of direct road links between the N8, the N25 and the N40, a grade separated junction, new roundabouts, 50 structures of various forms and the provision of cyclist and pedestrian facilities.

Fehily Timoney and Company, supported by Ramboll UK and Clandillon Civil Consulting (FTRC), will complete the detailed design and the role of Project Supervisor Design Process for the project. FTRC will also undertake design site representative duties, as well as site investigation supervision and ecology surveys.

The Dunkettle Interchange Upgrade Scheme is a critical infrastructure project, and one of the largest infrastructure projects in Ireland. FT is pleased to continue to work with Sisk and partners on this project, to improve the mobility of Cork commuters, cyclists and pedestrians.
