Bantry Relief Road Phase 1 Contract Signing

Cork County Council has appointed Fehily Timoney and Company for the Bantry Relief Road Phase 1 project. The Consulting Engineering Services will include TII Phases 5 to 7 Detailed Design, Enabling and Procurement, Construction and Close out. The project objective is to provide a strategic transport link from the N71 (Glengarriff Road) to an eastern point at Sheskin at the North East side of the town of Bantry which will minimise traffic delays and congestion within the town and allow the movement of goods and services around the town.

Today marked the official signing of the contract for this scheme in the Council Chamber in County Hall. Beren De Hora, Director FT (pictured below far right) joined Padraig Barrett, Director of Services – Roads and Transportation, Cork County Council, Cllr. Danny Collins, Mayor of the County of Cork, Clodagh Henehan, Divisional Director – West Cork, Cork County Council at the official signing.
