Fehily Timoney and Company have been appointed by Cork County Council as technical advisors to oversee the design of the Baile Bhúirne to Macroom Active Travel project for the development of active travel facilities along the old N22 route from Phase 2 Options Selection to Phase 4 Statutory Process.

Funded by Transport Infrastructure Ireland, the contract offers a significant opportunity to provide active travel facilities for walking and cycling that will provide safe facilities for students to travel to schools, increase footfall in front of local businesses, and provide healthy ways to traverse and explore these vibrant and historic communities.

The official signing of the contract for this scheme took place on the 9th November in County Hall. Beren De Hora, Director FT (pictured below far right) joined Michael William Lynch, A/Divisional Manager South Cork and Cllr. Frank O’Flynn, Mayor of the County of Cork at the Contract signing.
