Trevor Byrne
Associate Director of Energy and Planning
Trevor Byrne is a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 16 years’ experience in the design and construction of renewable energy developments and other civil and environmental projects. Trevor holds a first class honours degree in Civil Engineering and a MSc in Sustainable Energy Systems. He is currently an Associate Director within the Energy and Planning team. Trevor is head of engineering within the Energy and Planning Team.

Trevor gained much of his renewables experience working in the UK renewable energy industry and has delivered a wide variety of projects employing different technologies including onshore wind, hydroelectric and solar PV. He also has significant experience working in the Irish construction industry and in the US on a variety of large scale civil and environmental projects focusing on solar PV, surface water and wastewater treatment projects implementing green infrastructure solutions.
Trevor has extensive experience in environmental engineering and environmental impact assessment and is a proven project manager with a track record in successfully guiding large scale projects through the consenting process as well as construction stage. He is considered a trusted advisor and a safe pair of hands by many of Ireland’s largest renewable energy developers, and assists his clients in delivering their largest and most complex projects through the Irish consenting process.
