Design and Delivery of Training Course on the Enforcement of Packaging Regulations

FT designed and developed the course syllabus, which included learning objectives, training courseware and a terminal assessment exam. A pilot of the training course was delivered to determine the suitability of the training material. The training course comprised the following modules:
- Introduction and Legislative Overview
- Solid Fuel Supply Chain
- Legal Basis of Enforcement Actions
- Implementation & Enforcement Strategies
- Communications & Awareness
- Practical Enforcement Case Studies
The course was delivered using a series of lectures, exercises, facilitated discussions and case studies. At the end of the training each participant completed a competency assessment to determine if the participants have retained the important learning outcomes of the training course.
Upon completion of the pilot, participant feedback was summarised in a “Terminal Report on Training”.
FT delivered the course nationally to enforcement staff. The course was very well received by local authority enforcement staff.
Design and Delivery of Training Course – On-Site Hazardous Waste Management

FT was responsible for:

- Arranging the training event

- Arranging guest speakers from the Irish Health and Safety Authority (HSA)

- Administration of competency assessment.
FT delivered the one day training course at a number of waste facilities across the country. At the end of the project, FT provided the client with a final report assessing the impact of the training on course participants.
Water Protection & Nutrient Management Planning Training Programme

FT’s role was to design, develop, and deliver a training program on water protection and nutrient management planning. A summary of the tasks involved in the design of the program were:
- Develop learning objectives as the foundation of the courseware
- Trainee courseware (for course participants)
- Develop tutor’s courseware (for trainers and assessors
- Design assessment tests/evaluation
- Pilot the training programme
- Liaise with steering committee.
FT has updated, where appropriate, elements of the training programme, in line with new developments and changes in legal requirements. FT has thus far delivered the training program to over 150 participants in the public and private sector.
e-Worker Training Programme

The course met with positive feedback with a number of the participants establishing their own businesses. In addition to designing and delivering the course, a LinkedIn group was established to maintain the network of contacts. Subsequent to the delivery of the training, and based on the positive feedback from the participants, the WCDP requested FT to design and deliver a number of networking events to build upon the success of the training program.
