James is a Chartered Engineer with Fehily Timoney & Company with 16 years post qualification experience.  James holds an MSc in Civil Engineering from Trinity College Dublin (2009) and a BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering from University College Dublin (2008). James is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Engineers Ireland and a Chartered Waste Manager with the Chartered Institute of Wastes Management. James is also a member of Engineers Ireland’s Register of Professionally Competent Persons to carry out Landfill Assessments at historical landfill or contaminated sites (the Landfill Register).

James’ primary experience relates to the circular economy and resource management sector, in particular; licensed, historic, and unauthorised landfill site design, site remediation and aftercare works, contaminated land remediation and investigation, leachate and landfill gas management. James is also experienced in facility design including civic amenity sites, waste to energy (anaerobic digestion), materials recovery facilities and waste transfer facilities.

His areas of expertise include procurement and site supervision, project management, contract and tender management. James has a detailed knowledge of the Public Works forms of contracts having been involved in the procurement design, tendering, tender assessment and contract administration of a variety of contracts in the range of €250,000 – €15,000,000.
