Gene Flynn is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of Engineers Ireland with has over 18 years’ experience in the design, delivery and management of highways and infrastructure projects in Ireland, the UK and the Middle East. He is Senior Associate Director in the Sustainable Infrastructure team leading the Highways and Active Travel Team.

Gene Flynn is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of Engineers Ireland with 18 years’ experience in the design, delivery and management of highways and infrastructure projects in Ireland, the UK and the Middle East. Gene has successfully fulfilled the role of Project Director, Project Manager, Design Manager and Appraisal Lead on a number of major infrastructure schemes on both Traditional and Design & Build Contracts across Feasibility, Option Selection, Preliminary and Detailed Design stages. He has a proven track record of developing strong relationships with Clients and the internal organisation to achieve the successful outcome for projects.
Gene has been responsible for the management of design Health and Safety on both Traditional and Design & Build Contracts in Ireland and the UK. Gene is experienced in executing the role of PSDP/HSC including undertaking health and safety reviews of detailed designs, preparation and review of design risk assessments, Preliminary Safety and Health Plans and coordination of design teams.
Gene has acted as a Project Director, Project Manager and Design Manager for an extensive range of civil infrastructure projects including:
