FT sponsors Lord Mayor’s Perpetual Trophy for Environmental Science at UCC

Since 2002, FT have sponsored the Lord Mayor’s Perpetual Trophy annually to recognise academic excellence at the School of Biological, Earth and Environmental Sciences at University College Cork.

This year the Perpetual Trophy prize was awarded to final year student Rodhraí Crowley for his academic and research excellence. Rodhraí’s final year project title is ‘Phytoremediation of aquaculture wastewater – upscaling of N and P removal”.

The student prize giving ceremony took place virtually on Thursday, 19 November and was presented on behalf of FT by Sinéad Timoney, Chief Operating Officer.

The student award prize giving virtually ceremony was presented by Head of School Prof Andrew Wheeler and Lord Mayor of Cork Cllr Joe Kavanagh, also congratulated Rodhraí for his prestigious achievement.

Congratulations to all the 2020 graduates on successfully completing their engineering and science degree in spite of the challenging year. Well done to all!
