FT sponsors 2023 Lord Mayor’s Perpetual Trophy for Environmental Science at UCC

Fehily Timoney and Company co-sponsored the Lord Mayor’s Perpetual Trophy for Environmental Science 2023 Award at the School of Biological, Earth and Environmental Sciences at University College Cork. The annual prize is awarded to the best Fourth Year Environmental Science Student, and is jointly donated by Lord Mayor’s Office in Cork and FT. The student prize ceremony took place on Thursday, 9th November and was presented on behalf of FT by Sinéad Timoney, Chief Operating Officer.

The student award was presented to Isabel Gogarty-Meade by Head of Plant Science, School of Biological, Earth and Environmental Science, Prof Astrid Wingler, Dr. Jean O’Dwyer and Sinéad Timoney. Isabel’s project was entitled “Carbon storage and peat accretion in a saltwater marsh in Cork city” and was supervised by Dr. Michelle McKeown.
