Project-Senior Project Roads and Transport Engineers
Fehily Timoney and Company (FT) is one of Ireland’s largest Irish owned consultants with centres of excellence in Civil Infrastructure, Waste & Resource Management and Renewables. FT provides design and contract management services for the construction of infrastructure projects such as roads, bridgeworks, rail, solid waste facilities, renewable energy, drainage, water and wastewater treatment facilities, airports, tunnels and gas pipelines.
FT is looking to recruit a Project and Senior Project Engineers to join our Infrastructure team to support the delivery of a number of Roads/Active Travel projects. The post will suit candidates with a minimum of 3 years’ experience, preferable with a background in roads and transportation, keen to apply their professional skills and experience in a busy and dynamic civil, structural and environmental engineering practice.
FT's Responsibilities
- Civil engineering design including roads, greenways and active travel schemes
- Planning and managing CAD documentation, working closely with CAD Technicians
- Working closely with other Engineers and Graduates
- Attend onsite meetings with the client and other professionals
- Ensure projects are delivered to the timescales, quality and costs agreed with the client
- Ensure compliance with our Quality Assurance and Management Systems
- Ensure compliance with the relevant health and safety legislation
Skills / Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- 3 years post-graduate experience, preferably in a roads and transportation environment
- Experience with relevant design standards including TII DMRB, DMURS, National Cycle Manual, etc.
- Experience in cycleway design, greenways and active travel schemes is advantageous
- Experience in scheme option development and appraisal is advantageous
- Working towards Chartered Engineer status
- Working knowledge of civil design software is advantageous
- Excellent communication, management, analytical and organisation skills required
- Experience working and coordinating with technical specialists and engineers
- Efficient work methods, functioning both as part of team and on own initiative
- Experience organising and delivering complex tasks involving multiple parties within a short timeframe
- The ability to adopt and work to new procedures and systems quickly
- Must be prepared to travel to site visits and client meetings
- Full drivers licence
