HR Officer-Talent Acquisition Co-Ordinator
Fehily Timoney and Company (FT) is one of Ireland’s largest Irish owned consultants with centres of excellence in Civil Infrastructure, Energy and Planning and Waste & Resource Management.
FT is looking to recruit a HR Officer/Talent Acquisition Co-Ordinator to join our team in our Cork office. The successful candidate will report to the HR Manager and will be responsible for all HR tasks/issues.
FT's Responsibilities
- Responsible for the recruitment process, including candidate tracking, sourcing, work permits, screening, interviewing, reference checking and contract preparation. Ensuring the attraction and retention of high calibre staff
- Co-ordinate the delivery of an induction programme to all new hires
- Co-ordinate and manage performance review system & ensure compliance of various stages takes place within specified timeframe
- In conjunction with the CPD Manager, following establishment of employee goals & objectives, develop training needs analysis & individual training programmes & plans
- Prepare monthly HR reports for the Management Teams
- Develop & maintain excellent employee relations through implementation and management of fair policies ensuring compliance & adaptation of relevant Irish & EU legislation
- Understand the job to be done and the processes required to complete tasks and may need some assistance on more complex elements of the job
- Use own initiative to try to resolve problems and asks questions of other team members to allow completion of tasks
- Assist other less experienced members of the team
- Continuously seeks to learn from others and develop new skills
- Advise management on best practice in employee relations/performance related issues
- The candidate should be a high-energy individual with excellent organisation skills & strong interpersonal skills
- Key attributes also necessary include efficient work methods & working both as part of a team & on own initiative
- Other ad hoc duties
Skills / Qualifications
- Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
- Hold appropriate level membership of a professional body
- Experience in the engineering industry since obtaining primary degree is desirable but not essential
