Monitoring services may also be required as part of a baseline assessment for an environmental impact assessment, ecological assessment, hydrogeological investigations or compliance monitoring.
FTC has a dedicated environmental sampling team for sampling all environmental media. All sampling equipment calibration, and sampling techniques are controlled as part of our ISO 9001:2001 quality system. We have developed standard sampling protocols for all procedures and use analytical laboratories that hold quality control certifications. We ensure that the laboratory detection limits for the chosen analytical method are less than the programme, we submit split samples and trip blanks to ensure quality control. A chain of custody form accompanies all samples to the laboratory. All environmental monitoring staff hold SafePass.
