We have been working on Design and Build projects for over ten years both in the role of Clients Representative and Designer.

To service the National Roads Programme, we formed a joint venture company (Fehily Timoney Gifford) with the UK consultancy firm, Gifford in 1999 and have been working in that sector since. In 2002, formal agreement was also reached with the Danish consultancy Rambøll for collaboration on D&B and PPP type projects amongst others. Accordingly, a wide range of services are available to our D&B and PPP clients.

To serice the Water Services Investment Programme we have partnered with various civil and M&E contractors to design a number of water and wastewater schemes.

Our work experience in the D&B market is unsurpassed. In particular, the success of FTG at design and build contracts in the roads sector has resulted in major Irish contractors retaining FTG as design consultants. FTG currently acts as designer for a number of large design and build road projects in Ireland. These include N25 Youghal Bypass, N8 Cashel Bypass & N74 Link, M7 Heath Mayfield Motorway Project (Monasterevin Bypass), N11 Gorey to Arklow Link, N9 Phase 3 (Kilcullen to Carlow) and N9 Phase 4 (Knocktopher to Powerstown). 

Rambøll-FTG acted as the Clients Representative for the Arklow Bank Wind Farm. FTC also acted as the Clients Representative to the Port of Cork on the recently constructed ore handling facility.
This blend of experience has fostered a partnering approach within the company to the execution of these types of projects.
