The infrastructure department of FTC provides our clients with a ‘one stop shop’ in the role of Clients Representative for roads projects. FTC has the internal resources to provide a full range of services necessary to progress projects from initial conception stages through to Feasibility, constraints and route selection stages. Our staff also have the expertise in producing environmental impact statements (EIS) and compulsory purchase orders (CPO). Our clients include local authorities and the National Roads Authority.
The extensive experience gained on design and build projects ideally places us to carry out design optimisations, value engineering and to provide innovative and buildable design solutions from the preliminary design stage through to detailed design stage.
Many of our staff have also provided expert evidence at Oral Hearings throughout the country in relation to engineering and environmental matters.
To service the National Roads Programme, we formed a joint venture company (Fehily Timoney Gifford) with the UK consultancy firm, Gifford in 1999 and have been working in that sector since. In 2002, formal agreement was also reached with the Danish consultancy Rambøll for collaboration on projects. Accordingly, a wide range of services are available to our clients.
