FTC’s bridge design section goes back to the formation of the company in 1990. In that time FTC bridge design has covered the spectrum of single one off bridges to national route Design and Build schemes with multiple road, rail and river bridges. Elegant bridges in both structural steel, reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete have been conceived and their quality recognized in a number of prestigious design awards including the Construction Industry Federation Excellence Award and Concrete Society Excellence Award.  To date we have completed the design and supervised construction of over 100 bridges on National Routes.

Masonry Arch bridge condition appraisal and remedial treatment requires specialist knowledge and a particular approach to ensure the continued efficient use of these assets into the future. FTC ensures their effective stewardship by combining our understanding of their special characteristics with modern analysis and remedial techniques.
