This pharmaceutical site covers an area of approximately 150ha with the IPPC licence covering the manufacture of medicines and veterinary products.  The review application was to extend the licence boundary of the facility to allow future development as well as the integration of the new ‘active ingredient’ production facility.  In the preparation of this application, FT identified the environmental emissions generated by this new on-site process, proposed a reduction methodology and developed a monitoring programme.

FT was responsible for pre-application discussions with the statutory authority and in particular looking at how the requirements of the Industrial Emission Directive (2010/75/EU) would impact future site operations.  This included an assessment of the new air emission limits as well as the production of a baseline report.
