March 2010
FTC has recently signed a MOU with IKM Consulting Ltd., a Scottish engineering and environmental consultancy.
Both companies were initially attracted by the immense opportunities currently presented by the on-shore and off-shore renewable energy sector, both in Scotland and the United Kingdom. In addition to this, with targets set by the Scottish Government to increase the volume of municipal waste being recycled or composted to 70 per cent by 2025, and the release of Scotland’s Zero Waste Strategy, further opportunities for the partnership in the waste management sector have also developed.
The IKM Fehily Timoney partnership will be working within the waste and renewable energy sectors. Over the coming months, we will be launching our partnership at various wind energy events being held across Scotland, conducting extensive market research in both the waste and renewable energy disciplines, and establishing contacts with key market players in order to build relationships to enable us to secure work in the near future. FTC’s Sheelagh Guilmartin has re-located to Scotland to work with IKM Consulting Ltd. for three months, to assist in establishing the partnership in these areas. Contact: Sheelagh Guilmartin (
