Ireland - Good Practice Wind Energy Workshop |

Philip Cullen, Senior Geotechnical Engineer was invited to participate in a Good Practice Wind (GP Wind) Energy workshop held by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) recently in Dublin on 21st September 2011.
The GP Wind project was initiated by the Scottish Government and brings together 17 partners in eight countries to address challenges to the further development of wind energy in support of national and European energy targets for 2020.
Following the workshop, Philip Cullen gave a presentation on ‘Peat Stability – Minimising Risks by Design’ at the SEAI Wind Energy 2011 – Planning People and Environment Conference held in Bewleys Hotel, Dublin. On 22nd September 2011. Philip has become an industry leader in the assessment of peat stability and has been involved in promoting and implementing best practice techniques for the assessment of peat stability for developments in peatland areas throughout Ireland.
