FTC has been appointed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to carry out a nationwide campaign of inspections to determine compliance with distributor obligations under Producer Responsibility Initiatives (PRIs) for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and batteries. 

The campaign will include the inspection of 300 premises retailing electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) and batteries in a variety of sectors including electrical retailers, large supermarkets, DIY/hardware stores, independent garages, convenience stores, toy stores and sports shops.
