Galway County Council has granted planning permission for the development of Cloosh Wind Farm.

The planning application was submitted on 04 March 2010 and final grant of planning permission was received on the 07 June. There was no request for further information or appeals associated with this planning application.

This development includes for the construction of a wind farm consisting of 22 wind turbines of up to 90 m hub height and up to 101 m rotor diameter. This project has an overall capital value in excess of €85 million.  FTC was responsible for submitting the EIS and planning application to Galway County Council on behalf of Coillte Teoranta.
