Accounts Assistant

FT currently has a vacancy for an Accounts Assistant reporting to the Financial Controller in our Cork Office.

FT's Responsibilities

  • Band, credit card and petty cash reconciliations
  • Assist with monthly management accounts preparation along with month end and quarterly reporting
  • Accounts payable (matching purchases invoices with purchase orders prior to processing and making payments, reconciling supplier statements on a monthly basis)
  • Manage staff expenses claims
  • Assisting with sales invoicing
  • Liaise with project managers to ensure accurate monitoring and control of budgets for the financial management of projects
  • Ad hoc duties to be performed as and when required

Skills / Qualifications

  • Qualified accounting technician/part-qualified accountatn desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of SAGE 200 is necessary
  • Knowledge of Union Square Accounting or similar project accounting system would be an adavanteg but not necessary
  • The candiate should be a high-energy individual with excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Demonstared experience in using microsoft excel
  • Key attributes alos necessary include efficient work methods, working both as part of a team and on own initiave and good interpersonal skills
