In contrast to many other environmental problems, noise pollution is on the increase. Objective measurements of sound levels and design of measures to mitigate excessive or nuisance noise are an indispensable part of any noise protection programme. Standards and regulations specify allowable limits and the frequency at which parameters must be measured.
We offer noise measurement and assessment for noise nuisance investigation, site evaluation and planning, environmental assessment, public inquiries, and enforcement. We provide noise prediction capabilities using the Bruel & Kjaer Noise Prediction Software. This allows noise prediction from proposed developments (including highways and industrial developments) and allows changes to be modelled and manipulated, so that the effect of changing the physical environment can be seen before real
