Environmental Monitoring PDF Print E-mail

Planning applications, integrated pollution control licences and waste licenses all require environmental monitoring services that include:

  • Surface water
  • Air emissions
  • Waste management
  • Groundwater
  • Ambient air
  • Environmental audits
  • Noise
  • Air dispersion modelling
  • Environmental management
  • Meteorological condition
  • Odours
  • Management systems

Monitoring services may also be required as part of a baseline assessment for an environmental impact assessment, ecological assessment, hydrogeological investigations or compliance monitoring.

We have a dedicated environmental sampling team for sampling all environmental media. All sampling equipment calibration, and sampling techniques are controlled as part of our ISO 9001:2001 quality system. We have developed standard sampling protocols for all procedures and perform analysis of the samples in laboratories that hold quality control certification. We ensure that the laboratory detection limits for the chosen analytical method are less than the corresponding environmental standards or limit. As part of the sampling programme, we submit split samples and trip blanks to ensure quality control. A chain of custody form accompanies all samples to the laboratory.
