A Geographic Information System (GIS) is an electronic map used to display data based on its location. GIS becomes a powerful analytical tool where data that is related geographically can be analysed, modelled and graphically displayed.
At FTC our team of GIS experts have developed the knowledge and skills necessary to provide clients with the highest quality of service across a wide variety of disciplines.
We have developed extensive experience in GIS and were one of the first Irish consultants to establish an in-house team. We utilise the power and strength of GIS on many different project types from planning applications to facility site selection and waste management planning. FTC has built up a database of many of the constraints affecting potential developments such as population settlements, geology, archaeology, infrastructure, utilities, land use and planning zoning.
