As a result of previous industrial activity or unlicensed activity, many development sites require an assessment of soil and groundwater quality before construction. These assessments are required to safeguard worker health and safety and to protect the environment. Determination of soil and groundwater quality at an early stage in project design and scheduling facilitates any necessary remedial work to be conducted concurrent with general construction activities, minimising delay and costs while meeting regulatory and planning requirements.
Our multidisciplinary staff include environmental engineers, scientists, civil engineers and hydrogeologists to enable a resolution of contaminated soil and groundwater issues. Our expertise ranges from site investigation works to the design supervision and implementation of remediation activities. We provide cost analysis on the most efficient method of treatment or disposal of contaminated soil and can arrange for the application for Trans-Frontier Shipments (TFS) forms for export of contaminated soil. We also prepare waste permit applications to the relevant local authorities to conduct the work.
