Company Profile: Rashid Geotechnical & Materials Engineers (RGME), established in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since 1974, is a specialist engineering and testing company. RGME possesses quality expertise reflected in its management and staff of over 200 specialized engineers and technicians who have worked for over three decades on developmental projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and across the Middle East.

Location:  The successful candidate will be based in Jubail, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Job Type:  12- 18 month Contract

Salary:   €42,000 – €49,000 per annum + attractive benefits package.

Duties:

RGME are currently looking to recruit an Air Quality/Meteorology Section Head to lead a group of scientists and technicians responsible for the operation of the air quality/meteorological monitoring network and the associated computer data management center.  The successful candidate will also be responsible for:

• Monitoring industrial compliance with the air emissions regulations, air dispersion modeling and technical reporting.

• Provide technical advice to the Royal Commission on ambient air quality, air emissions from industrial processes, pollution control measures and impact of pollution incidents.

• Responsible for the training and development of skills of other staff within the Air Section.

Qualifications / Skills Required:

• MSc or Ph.D in Atmospheric Science, Meteorology, Environmental Science (or similar scientific or engineering discipline) from an accredited U.S. or Western European University.

• Minimum 5 years experience working in air quality monitoring, meteorology or air pollution control.

• Familiarity with USA or European air pollution is essential.

• Fluency in both written and spoken English essential.

• Candidate should be a high-energy professional with excellent communication, organization and analytical skills.

• Key attributes also necessary include efficient work methods, working both as part of team and on own initiative.

• The ability to manage several priorities at once will be required as will a high level of commitment to success.

• Driving licence required.


Compensation €42,000 – €49,000 per annum + attractive benefits package.
