John Nolan is a Technical Director and Head of the Infrastructure within FTC with 15 years postgraduate experience in civil engineering.  John holds a first class honours degree in Civil Engineering (UCG) and also has a Masters degree in Engineering Science (UCG).  He is a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institution of Engineers of Ireland and a Member of the Institution of Highways and Transportation.

John’s particular experience is in the design and contract management of civil engineering projects.  This experience includes coordination and programming of the design teams for major road schemes; budgetary control; consultation with Contractor, Designers and Statutory Authorities; chairing design review meetings; checking and certification of design packages; preparation of pre-qualification and tender documentation; and management of design teams and site staff.
