Ashbourne Linear Park: Meath County Council

We have recently been appointed by Meath County Council to provide Consultant Engineering services for the development of Ashbourne Linear Park for the people of Ashbourne.

The park development includes a new amphitheatre and number of age-appropriate play areas, including a toddler play area and a skate park. It will also include the installation of a pedestrian footbridge across the Broad meadow river into the commercial centre of Ashbourne, thereby maximising public access.

FT will work alongside our appointed Landscape Architects, Brady Shipman Martin, for the duration of this project.  Works will include assistance with the preparation of the Part VIII Planning submission for the site, including Site Specific Flood Risk Assessment and appropriate assessment of the project in line with the habitats directive.

Our work there also includes the design and specification of all park works – including amphitheatre, various play areas, skate parks and planting as well as detailed structural design work for the proposed pedestrian footbridge.
